If you are admitted to a university and wish to change your visa to a D-2 visa,
you must complete the visa change application before the semester begins, regardless of your current visa’s expiration date.
Application Fee : 135,000 KRW
For students who are changing from another visa (e.g., D-4, D-10) to a D-2 visa
[Processing time: 4 to 8 weeks]
Required Documents:
1. Application form
2. Passport
3. Standard-sized photo (white background)
4. Certificate of tuition payment
5. Standard admission letter
6. Proof of final academic background: Apostilled diploma, or certification from the embassy
7. Bank balance certificate (minimum 8,000,000 KRW)
Must be from the applicant’s Korean bank account
If receiving financial support from a professor, a financial sponsorship confirmation form must be submitted
8. Proof of residence (copy of one of the following):
Official mail from a government office, rental contract, notification of stay expiration, utility bill receipt, or dormitory move-in confirmation
※ If you are not living in a house under your own name (e.g., staying at a friend’s place), you must submit a Residence/Accommodation Confirmation Form along with a copy of the provider’s ID
9. For D-4 visa holders only:
Certificate of Korean language program completion
Academic transcript from the language course
※ If you failed to complete your last semester of the language program, a written statement of reason must be submitted
