2025 Career Exploration Day Event Held

The Department of Sports Science at Jeonbuk National University held a ‘Career Exploration Day’ event on Thursday, October 2, 2025, at Munhoeru to assist freshmen in designing their career paths.

This experiential program, designed for first-year students, aimed to deepen their understanding of their major and introduce diverse career fields. It featured hands-on activities through various booths directly operated by department members.

The booths introduced the department's major career fields, including ▲Anatomy/Exercise Prescription ▲Sports Rehabilitation ▲Sports Psychology/Measurement and Evaluation ▲Sports Marketing/Administration, and provided students with opportunities to directly experience content actually taught in major courses.

Notably, participating students went beyond merely listening to theoretical explanations. They handled practical equipment and engaged in hands-on activities, allowing them to personally experience the substantive content of the major. This enabled them to participate with greater immersion and enjoyment. Many expressed positive reactions, stating, “Actually experiencing it made the major's classes feel more relatable and interesting.”

Furthermore, this event served as an opportunity for first-year students, who are just beginning their career planning, to envision more concrete career paths within each field and explore directions that suit them.

Moving forward, the Department of Sports Science plans to continue operating career exploration programs tailored to each grade level, actively supporting students in designing more proactive and practical career paths.
