On November 6, 2025, students from Chonbuk National University's Department of Sports Science and Rehabilitation Division visited the Jeonju Geumam Senior Welfare Center to provide sports massage and taping services to local seniors. This volunteer service was part of a regular hands-on social contribution program that has been conducted since the signing ceremony, with the goal of promoting community health and intergenerational communication. This service followed the volunteer activity in October.

On this day, the students provided sports massages to key areas such as the shoulders, waist, and knees to alleviate muscle fatigue and joint pain. They also applied sports taping to alleviate pain and improve posture. They also provided guidance on proper stretching exercises and daily body management techniques, which was very well-received.

One student who participated in the volunteer work said, “It was nice to see the seniors I met during my previous volunteer work again, and I was proud to hear that their exercise habits had improved,” and added, “I want to continue to apply the knowledge I learned in my major to the local community.”

An official from the Department of Sports Science stated, “The students are developing practical skills through their experience assessing and managing the physical condition of the seniors in the field,” and “We will continue to expand the educational model that grows together with the local community.”

An official from Geumam Senior Welfare Center also said, “Many of the seniors said that thanks to the students’ attentive care, both their bodies and minds felt much lighter,” and “Through continued cooperation, we will greatly contribute to improving the health and well-being of the seniors in the region.”
