The Department of Sports Science at Jeonbuk National University successfully held the Launch Ceremony of the Sports Science Alumni Association, marking an important milestone in strengthening the department’s network and fostering long-term development.

The ceremony was attended by the inaugural executive members, alumni from various graduating classes, current students, and faculty. Participants celebrated the official establishment of the alumni association and discussed future directions for departmental growth and collaboration among alumni.

The program included an introduction to the alumni association, a progress report, the appointment and oath of the executive board, congratulatory remarks, a presentation of the department’s vision, and a networking session. During the follow-up meeting, attendees proposed practical initiatives such as career mentoring for students, support for departmental events, and expanded academic–industry collaboration, aligning on the shared mission and vision of the alumni association.

With the establishment of the Alumni Association, the Department of Sports Science aims to build a sustainable community that connects alumni, students, and faculty while further enhancing its contribution to the field and society.
