Detail Information

Research Interests

I earned my M.S. degree researching which characteristics of robots and anthropomorphic animation characters young children perceive as lifelike. My Ph.D. focused on examining and categorizing young children's writing in terms of expression and graphomotor control. My research interests broadly encompass young children's cognitive development, with a specific focus on literacy development, including writing. I investigate parental guidance, literacy experiences in early childhood education settings, and the impact of digital media use on individual differences in young children's literacy development.
