Department of Rural Construction Engineering studies integrated solutions for sustainable agriculture and rural planning considering water, energy, environment, carbon circulation, etc. Based on information (IT), biotechnology (BT), environment (ET), and culture (CT) technologies, we deal with a wide variety of knowledge, technology, life sciences and modelling.

Research interests are as below;

• agriculture-based structure (structure, design and construction)
• agricultural water resources (rural irrigation and optimization of water management, and hydrology/water quality monitoring)
• agricultural facilities environment (air-flow design for controlling environment using computational fluid dynamics)
• rural planning (improvement of rural environment and rural tourism)
• rural environment (non-point pollution, odor, and other troubleshooting in rural area)

Rural construction engineering has fostered talent young researchers & engineers to solve incoming rural problems based on expert knowledge combining with agricultural sector. We have a rich subject to cope with complicated social problems in terms of civil, environment, rural and computer engineering. In order to perform effective teaching and research, we have prepared the specialized laboratories and research areas.
