The Department of Bioenvironmental Chemistry studies the biological phenomenon with regard to biomaterial, climate change, and their environment and biochemical approach. We provide topnotch curriculum for our students to enrich their knowledge in green chemistry and apply them in the field of agriculture and life sciences.

Education Goal Our educational goal is to provide curriculum to complement and refine experts as well as students' skill in green chemistry. To achieve this goal, we offer specialized and analytical laboratories for applied plant biochemistry, environmental soil science, and agricultural environmental science. We encourage student involvement and participation through lectures and dissertation. We also open doors to seminars, guest lectures, skill building programs, national & international industrial visits

Characteristics and Advantages for Department of Bioenvironmental Chemistry Students can accumulate specialized analysis skills or experiences learning through department laboratories and through field training at Center for Environmental Resource Analysis. We are also making an effort to produce competent human resource required for the society through job opportunities in Agricultural Research and Extension Services and Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute. In addition, the specialized department for food and biology has been selected as the best excellent department in 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2012 and the Department of Bio-environmental Chemistry has been chosen as the excellent department of Natural Sciences in the 2010 and 2011 annual department evaluation.
