CBNU School of Chemical Engineering
the 21st century's Cradle of Human Resource in Chemical Engineering
School of Chemical Engineering develops and produces all materials necessary to civilized life of the human race.
Since established as the Department of Chemical Engineering in 1951, School of Chemical Engineering has contributed to Korea's chemical industries with 3 thousand graduates. Due to the trend of subdivision in the fields of study, the Department of Industrial Chemistry was established in 1985. In 1996, these two departments were combined as the School of Chemical Engineering to promote the balanced education and efficient research. Since 2002, the united Division of Environmental and Chemical Engineering has been operated.
The division was transformed to the School of Chemical Engineering in 2008 to meet the development of 21st century's scientific technology and social changes. Through this transformation, the School of Chemical Engineering was changed to cultivate superior engineers in Nano-Chemical Engineering, Bio-Chemical Engineering, and Energy Chemical Engineering.
Especially, the intensive major education accredited by the Accreditation Board Engineering Education of Korea (ABEEK) allows graduates to become the internationally authorized engineers, and is expected to contribute to the development of future society.
