Department of Public Administration and Policy is dedicated to the study of effective public management and the development of public policy. Public Administration help students to equips with specialized knowledge in policy analysis, organizational management, and governance, which is essential for careers in government, public organization, civil society, international agency, and private sector. Disciplines in public administration play a pivotal role in advancing the public interest and addressing the complex challenges in society.
Additionally, Department of Public Administration and Policy at Jeonbuk National University has established independent Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) with distinguished institutions, including the Korea Research Institute for Local Administration, The College of Law (Australia), Jeonju Research Institute, Jeonbuk Rural Development Center, Shihwa Lake Sustainable Partnership, and the Korea Center for Social Conflict Resolution. These academic and professional partnerships provide students with diverse opportunities from diverse programs and build unique and valuable career experiences for students.
Student Life
The Student Council of the Department of Public Administration and Policy serves as a student self-governance, along with the Planning, Finance, Welfare, and Public Relations divisions. The Student Council is responsible for planning and managing a variety of departmental events, including membership training (MT) and other student extra-curricula activities.
Our Department also supports two student clubs that contribute to both academic and extracurricular development.
* PA_Radigm: An academic-oriented club to share information on campus competitions and external activities, offering students opportunities to experience creative, academic, and practical experiences.
* AFC: A soccer and futsal club that holds regular matches, encouraging fellowship and strong bonds among students.
