Student Council
All JBNU medical students become members of the Student Council. The Student Council’s mission is to improve the quality of medical student life, to represent diverse student needs, and to advocate for student rights and interests. The Student Council deals with issues such as facilities, parking, student welfare, social events and extracurricular activities. Responsibilities include planning annual social events, addressing student concerns and providing input on medical school policies. Most of all the student council seeks to effectively represent the concerns of JBNU medical students. Currently, members of Student Council are elected for a one-year term.
Class Representatives
Class Representatives act as liaisons between their class and the class director and course directors. Issues of academic policy, educational environment, and scheduling of exams are considered during periodic meetings with administration officials. The class representative should be receptive to classmates’ concerns and be able to effectively communicate them to the proper authorities. Furthermore, representatives from each class meet periodically to discuss ongoing school issues regarding improvement of the school environment and relations between students from different class years. Currently, class representatives are elected for a one-year term.
