Premedical Course of Veterinary Medicine
Veterinary arts is a pre-stage course to complete the veterinary curriculum, and it is also a period of cultivating the six core competencies that our school aims for. The total number of credits to be completed in the veterinary arts department is 73 credits, consisting of 37 credits for liberal arts and 36 credits for basic requirements. They take basic essential courses for learning veterinary medicine such as biology, molecular biology, chemistry, physics, and veterinary terms, and in the veterinary introduction course, they meet with professional seniors in major fields where they will be after graduation to design their professionalism, responsibilities, and future dreams.
In addition, they will cultivate "logical thinking and communication" skills, "global partnership" skills to develop language ability, "community leadership" skills to work with, "democratic/public/ethical" skills, and "practical skills" as professional educators. Under the "Lifelong Advisor" system, a professor in department of veterinary medicine will be an advisor to guide career setting and student life. This is the process to harden the foundation for the refinement and ability to become a talented veterinarian.

Department of Veterinary Medicine
If you complete all the liberal arts and major courses required in the two years of premedical course, you will enter a four-year course of veterinary medicine. The veterinary course provides education to study the overall medical field for animals and their related theories and practical skills, produce excellent professionals in the veterinary field, and cultivate competent intellectuals who can contribute to improving the national competitive power according to the trend flow.
Since our university's veterinary courses are subdivided into basic, preventive, and clinical fields, the scope of the courses to be completed is wide and specialized, which is very advantageous to acquire 160 credits or more. After completing four years of veterinary science (a total of six years of course), including two years of veterinary arts, you will receive a veterinarian license if you pass the National Veterinary Examination.
After obtaining a veterinarian license and graduating, you can open a hospital or go to graduate school to enter academic and related life science research institutes. According to the importance of the veterinary field, the demand for professionals in this field is increasing very much.
