Target Trading Discipline Education
The mission of International Trade Education was founded to cultivate the highest level of international trade professionals with a focus on international trade and economic knowledge, not only for national and local development in an era of globalization, but for the contribution to the world economy.
In order to achieve these goals: Firstly, we strive to become the world's 12th largest trading nation, pioneer the 8th largest output of power, and contribute to national economic development. In addition, we aim to cultivate an academic basic literacy for the association of trade, and to create international exchanges and learning global communicative abilities for the rest of the world. Secondly, by creating local enterprises, cooperative and field practices, both through business ability and at the same time, contribute to the local globalization and strive to become a national source of power in global competition. Thirdly, by increasing the diversity of international experience, and complying with the global standard for international talent, we will develop a diverse community with the ability to carry out ethical responsibility and dedication in order to have the international leader qualifications which are necessary to achieve personal success.
The Trade Subject Introduction
After the foundation of the College of Commerce in 1951, our department was founded in 1962 since the importance of international trade was on the rise. In 1972, newly organized courses for the master's degree were created and in 1979 the doctor's courses were founded in order to educated professional trade talents that our nation and society need.
In 2001, with the rapidly changing economic environment, the Cyber Trade Regional Department was founded along with the Center for Assisting Internet Trade (CAIT) to provide a network of trade support to businesses and corporations inside of Chonbuk Province. In 2007, Chonbuk National University College of Trade was chosen as a succeeding business of the TI (Trade Incubator) program. In addition, the International Trade Specialist Training Institution (GTEP) selected our school to train senior trade talents in order to contribute to the local society and national economy.
The discipline is divided into the Theory of International Economics, International Trade and Business Trade Policy, and International Economic Theory. Professor Nak-Il Choi, Professor Jae-Kwon Byun, Professor Baek-Ryeol Choi, Professor Yong-Jae Choi are in the Department of the Theory of International Economics. Professor Ji-Young Jung is in the Department of International Trade and Business Trade Policy. Professor Chung-Won Yoon, Professor Chae-Hun Song, Professor Min-Ho Kim, Professor Eun-Mi Kim, Professor Hyun-Soo Ha, Professor Han-Mo Oh are in the Department of International Economic Trade. There are a total of 11 full-time professors in the department to aid with in-depth research and along with recruitment Professor Chen, Deputy Prime Minister of Economy, aim to impart professional knowledge rich experiences for the students.
Learning Content of the Trade Discipline
Our department has been cultivating the talents of our students on the issues of international trade, trade business education trend of international goods, services related to international economic theory education and international business desired business tradition, custom duties law, correlation methods, related to teaching international trade policy, strategy and management methods of fertility, and transnational education. In addition, in order to make sure our students have the required foreign language ability, international vision, and an understanding of business etiquette which is necessary in an era of globalization, we offer a corresponding education.
The following areas of research activity serve as the foundation of the trade disciplines education: foreign exchange and international financial market theory, international trade theory, trade theory, trade contract theory, tariff system theory, international trade law, trade insurance theory, international trade policy theory, international strategy, international business, international theory of economic relations, trade and 36 other subjects.

Trade discipline graduates can be found in all sectors of society to aid in the process of globalization, for their talents are in high demand. Our department of International Trade will provide the students the professional knowledge that is related to international trade, economy and business with a focus on training ability through related diversified education and field practice for all sectors of society, in order to be able to respond to the flexibility of globalization. Our graduates will be able to thrive as trade professionals for trading companies, private enterprise, all financial institutions, state and national investment companies, research institutes and a wide range of other related industries.
