Center for Advanced Image and Information Technology

The center was established in 1990 at CBNU. It is a major, leading-edge research center for image and information processing. In July 2012, it was promoted as a main research center for multi-disciplinary convergence and it is given a distinctive mission is to promote innovative collaborative and interdisciplinary researches. The main activities are generated from four research groups: imaging research, intelligent information research, software development technology research, and converged imaging research. The group members are multi-disciplinary by gathering faculties from College of Engineering and Medical School. Also, for frequent interactions, the center regularly offers seminars and workshops related to imaging and information technology.
Center for Artificial Intelligence

The center was established to develop regional industries and to train professional manpower. The center concentrates on leading IT convergence industry to meet future industry and technology development strategy and on promoting digital convergence industry for revitalizing local economy. It also aims to build a local IT industry base by networking with foreign companies and metropolitan cities. It is currently operating a flavor research center for developing a digital artificial tongue.IT Convergence Research Center.
Cloud Open R&D Center

The aim of the center is to conduct researches and to develop new technologies concerning cloud computing and big data. There are three research groups for developing new technologies for 1) application s/w, 2) platform s/w, and 3) security s/w, respectively. Specifically, the application s/w group is interested in mobile cloud s/w, cloud based intelligent s/w, and a wide variety of applications operating on a big data platform. The platform s/w group is concerned with new technologies capable of enhancing extant, big data platforms on a cloud environment. Finally, the security s/w group is paying attention on the development of security technologies related to cloud computing.
