Graduate students in the Department of Environmental Engineering (DEE) at JBNU are central to our research and educational enterprise. They make a lasting impact in the world, as they launch careers in academia and industry, or become entrepreneurs. Academic environment of JBNU DEE promotes collaboration, exploration and interdisciplinary research across JBNU so that our graduate students seek to understand the world and lead our society with creative environmental design.
The intellectual focus of JBNU DEE is to discover new technology and innovate our society in changing conditions to sustain life. JBNU DEE is tackling some of the most urgent challenges of our time in environmental engineering. We develop and apply pioneering approaches that range from basic scientific principles to complex engineering design, at scales from the nano to the global.
Now JBNU DEE features many centers of gravity: water, wastewater, wastes, air, soil, persistent chemicals, and microorganisms. We seek a diverse group of applicants from a range of academic disciplines, who work together to contribute to exciting intellectual networks across the department, JBNU, Jeollabuk-do, Republic of Korea, and the world.
