The Student Council of the Department of Political Science and International Relations is committed to enhancing student life based on free choice and active participation. We believe that by organizing and executing events that reflect students' preferences, we can create a more engaging and fulfilling university experience together.
The Student Council operates under an elected leadership structure, with a President and Vice President chosen through a student vote. Additionally, the council consists of several key departments:
• General Affairs Department: The core unit responsible for planning events, managing budgets, and overseeing the execution of Student Council activities.
• Public Relations Department: Focuses on promoting Student Council events to ensure maximum participation and benefits for students.
• External Affairs Department: Facilitates collaborations and exchanges with other departments within Jeonbuk National University and universities beyond.
• Student Welfare & Grievance Department: Serves as a direct communication channel with students, addressing concerns and overseeing various welfare initiatives.
The Student Council plays a vital role in improving student life by addressing concerns and organizing meaningful events. Some of our notable initiatives include:
• Providing snacks during exam periods to support students during stressful times.
• Stocking the student lounge with office supplies and convenience items to enhance accessibility.
• Organizing department retreats (MTs) to help students build lasting memories.
• Hosting exchange programs with other universities, fostering both academic and social connections.
These initiatives and activities are made possible through student participation. At the beginning of each academic year, the Student Council recruits new members from both freshmen and returning students. We encourage all students to take part and contribute to shaping an even better student experience!
