As its name suggests, the Korean Politics Research Society is dedicated to exploring Korean Politics through discussions, issue-based PR activities, and participation in various competitions. Our society actively competes in four major events:
• Unified Korea Mock Cabinet Conference
• Future Political Leaders' Parliamentary Training Program
• National University Model United Nations
• Mock Provincial Assembly Competition
One of our most notable achievements is winning the Future Political Leaders' Parliamentary Training Debate Competition. This prestigious program selects 10 universities nationwide to participate in a series of discussions, debates, and special lectures led by distinguished speakers at the National Assembly Training Institute in Goseong. The program enhances participants’ understanding of Korean Politics, particularly parliamentary politics. The Korean Politics Research Society has participated in this event four times, securing two championship titles and one runner-up position. Given that the competition includes top-tier universities in Seoul, our success is particularly remarkable.
Beyond competitions, the society also hosts special lectures by prominent political figures, including former ministers from the Ministry of the Interior and Safety and several members of the National Assembly. Additionally, many of our alumni have pursued careers in political parties, making the society an excellent gateway for those interested in real-world politics and elections. If you are looking to gain firsthand experience in politics and build a strong portfolio, this society will be an invaluable resource.
