Management Organization of the Accreditation Board for Trade Education of Korea

Organizations are managed by the professional committee that is comprised of certificate decision committee which is inner group of the board and external professions to maintain fairness and professionalism of the evaluations. For the outside business, the board certificates and evaluates the relevant organizations and programs through the university's own planning committee of self-evaluation which is having a close relationship with the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology and the Ministry of Knowledge and Economy.

• The board carries out tasks about overall evaluation business of the trade education.
• Business group of the board supports various committee for the certificate evaluation of the University.
• Research center for trade education of the board conducts research and development of trade education and education for the evaluation professional agents.

• This committee is a standing institution to raise fairness and objectivity of university evaluation business under the board. Its management and process of the evaluation results are separated from the board.
• This committee is composed of 7 members that are nominated by the chief of the board. Members' term in committee is one year and members can serve consecutive terms.
• Functions of this committee are setting standard direction of evaluation for certification of trade education, deliberation and making decision of the basic businesses, revision according to the evaluation promotion, handling the evaluation results, review and making decisions of practical use of those results, deliberation of other details relevant to evaluations.

• This group establishes enforcement tactics of performance certification, makes pre-decisions about the results, researches about the valuation, supports various things that make valuations smoothly works.
• This group gets aids and cooperations from executive office of the board to conduct tasks effectively.
• This group is composed of 5 professional valuation professors who are nominated by chief of the board, and the head of this group is appointed by board of directors of the board.

• This group is non-standing organization which conducts document valuation and door-to-door valuations, and fill out the reports on the results and submit those to the board.
• The number of members are differently composed considering the number of trade major colleges of that year, and valuation members are named by the head of the board.
• To avoid contradictions of an interest which can happen during the valuation, someone who are a member of the relevant educational institution or someone used to be a member of it cannot be the valuation member.

• Each university installs its own planning committee of self-evaluation and establishes plans and strategies to conduct valuations. And of course sets up budgets.
• Planning committee of self-evaluation organizes committee of self-evaluation under itself to perform tasks related to trade education certification valuations, and also commands and supervises it.
• University conducts its own valuation and submit all the results to the board, and helps door-to-door valuation team.
• University should be well informed of valuation reports that the board sends, and establishes improvements of suggested details and practises them.
