Dental Research
Dental Biomaterials, Tooth Development and Periodontal Regeneration, Dental Caries and Microbiology, Neuroscience and Dental Pain, and Oral Cancer Cell Biology
In order to produce world-wide recognised research and results in dental science, five research departments (Dental Biomaterials, Tooth Development and Periodontal Regeneration, Dental Caries and Microbiology, Neuroscience and Dental Pain, and Oral Cancer Cell Biology) and the Research Support team collaborate to undertake research related to the development and enhancement of dental care/oral health of people all over the world. As a result, the number of articles published in world famous science and academic journals (e.g. SCI(E)) has increased to up to around 40 per year. In addition, the amount of research grants has also steadily been rising every year. The creation of the Institute of Oral Bioscience for research located at Chonbuk National Univeristy and the 21st Century Advanced Dental Care Education Center established by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology shows the expansion of national support to the researchers at the School of Dentistry, Chonbuk National University.
