OVERVIEW
At the Jeonbuk National University Dental Hospital (JBNUDH) we provide general and specialist dental care in association with the School of Dentistry's educational programs. Each year, there are more than 75,000 patient visits to the dental hospital which is located on the north part of the medical-dental complex of Jeonbuk National University campus. Through our dedication to excellence in education, research and clinical services, the School of Dentistry and Dental Hospital strives to develop technically and diagnostically skilled, scientifically based, socially and ethically sensitive dental professionals who are committed to continued professional growth and development.
HISTORY
In 1975, the Jeonbuk National University affiliated Hospital was formed. In 1979, Jeonbuk National University School of Dentistry (JBNUSD) was officially established and formed a part of this hospital. In 1981, eight departments were inaugurated. In 1988, Jeonbuk National University Hospital was given official approval for a dental hospital to be established. In 1997, construction of the new Dental Hospital was complete and relocation took place. In 2004, special clinics for implant treatment and for the disabled officially opened its doors and in 2007, the Scaling Center and Comprehensive Dental Clinic were instituted.
