Animal Science

The purpose of educations with the Department of Animal Science provide opportunities for students to learn and understand about animal biotechnology and nutriton, beef cattle, dairy science, poultry science, feed and forage science, animal food processing science and technology, meat science.
The department responds to the industry animals such as cattle, swine and poultry, special animals such as goat and rabbit, and companion animals through research and education programs about healthy food from animal products, HACCP and animals welfare etc.
In addition, the department offer competitive field lesson in various practical education sites. One of main practical education sites is "Hammy Yummy" which it a school-based enterprise in relation to meat processing area.

The Department of Animal Science trying to developed animal resources in order to produce high quality healthy animal products and to meed consumer's needs. Therfore, the department discipline students with both basic academic theory and developed specialized knowledge about feed, reproduction, nutrition, breeding, forage, microbiology in various animal types such as industry animals and companion animals.

Public servant at central gonvernmet such as Ministry for Food, Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, and Rural Developement Administration. or at local gonvernment, School teacher, Korea Food Research Institute, Animal Plant & Fisheries Quarantine & Inspection Agency, Korea institute for Animal Products Quality Evaluation, KRA, Nonghyup, Zoo(Sam sung Everland), animal feed corporation(Cargill Agri Purina, Woosung feed, CJ feed, etc.), Meet processing corporation(Harim, lotte ham, Dong won, etc.),Milk processing corporation(seoulmilk, namynag, maeil), Korea dairy & beef farmers association, Korea Swine Association, Korea Poultry Association, Hanwoo Association, etc.
