About the Department of Bio Industrial Machinery Engineering
Bio-industrial machinery engineering is an academic discipline whose activities encompass application of engineering principles and technology for the mechanized production, processing, and utilization of biologically-based resources and food materials. Its goal is to contribute the nation's economic growth and improve the quality of life through increasing productivity and creating added value during the production and processing of biologically-based resources and food materials.
The broad spectrum of the discipline requires curriculum consisting of diverse engineering subjects in mechanical and electrical/electronic engineering, and computer science as well as those subjects regarding the unique characteristic of bio-industrial machinery engineering. Students who are interested in engineering but also production agricultural and biological systems are, therefore, welcomed. In addition to academic education in classroom, various field trip opportunities to fair, exhibition, and factory plant are offered to better prepare the students.
