This department has produced capable engineers who have profound knowledge of both design and manufacturing and who are able to perform creative design. Our department is committed to the expansion of our role as a important research major that fosters a tradition of excellence in mechanical design engineering education and continues to invest in the mechanical design engineering strength that reflects the rapid technological advancement of our times.

This department is the very important field that combined BT and NT that would bring a significant effect on economy by influencing on changing pattern of the disease caused by social, economical and cultural difference, changing medical service paradigm, changing in medical techniques and changing in development of medication.
Combination of BT and NT is the basic engineering technique that should required by the nation to diagnose and cure the disease with balance.
Through use of nanosemiconductor sensor, nanopattern of bioactive material and medical nanocontrol system, Nan-Bio Mechanical system Engineering in Korea can broaden its field of study and research in order to launch and grow in a big economic market.
